As a motorcycle rider, and professional detailer, I am often asked what the best solution is for fogging visors. Contrary to what most may believe, the answer is actually quite simple.
Pinlock inserts are the ONLY true solution to fogging visors. This is because
the moisture that collects in your visor, is literally absorbed by the pinlock
insert. Or so I've researched.
A ceramic coating on the inside wont stop moisture from collecting and fogging up the visor. The coating will only help the moisture run off the visor once enough has collected. So again, not helping to reduce the issue.
However, a ceramic coating on the outside of the visor will greatly help to keep a clear view of the road ahead. The visor will be much easier to clean and if you get stuck out in the weather, it will repel rain much better than un-coated visors.
